Kaleidoscope Dreams
Lyrics

I closed my eyes
When I heard the news
And I started to play

A song from a time
We had nothin’ to lose
An’ somethin’ to say

No words to rhyme
So cold and blue
Just like today

The treasure we'd find
Before life got in the way

Writing our platinum hits
It couldn’t get better than this

‘Cause we knew they’d hang our posters on the walls
Sold out shows and curtain calls
In our kaleidoscope dreams

It ain’t deja vu
A lifetime ago
I left this place

The memories flew
As I passed the home
Where we used to play

Indigo blooms
High in the trees
They fall like rain

The kaleidoscope turns
Now our dreams don't look the same

Every note feeding the flame
Destined for fortune and fame

And we knew they’d hang our posters on the walls
Sold out shows and curtain calls

In our kaleidoscope dreams
We could hear the fans scream
We’d be immortal in rock n’ roll halls

So many faces
I never knew
Said their goodbyes

From the times and the places
Filling the gaps
Between our lives

Now I’m looking through
The kaleidoscope lens
One final time

It’s a standing ovation
As he solos in the sky

An’ all o’ those platinum hits
We’re passin’ ‘em down to our kids

‘Cause we know they’ll hang our pictures on the walls
And when that final curtain falls
Our lives were better than dreams

Our kaleidoscope dreams

Great website choice! As someone who worked for music industry for 7years I listened to "she moves" and felt like I was at a festival in the Spirit of Suwannee (where they hold Hulaween, Wannee and other music festivals) Good job! I don't even remember what I was getting on this tablet to look up in the first place
